We've decided to go ahead and register at Target. We really didn't want to add another location but we think that Target has a few things to offer that the other stops don't have. Plus, who doesn't love a quick visit to Target!
So far all of the registry has been done online. But hopefully we can make a trip to the store and add a few more things sometime soon! It will be updated regularly!
This won't be included in the invitations (which are almost complete and ready to be mailed at the 8 weeks out.) but we wanted to share it here!

Two years!
Two years ago today was the day my students and I started working on the park in Gilman, IWHS put on the musical Oklahoma, and I (out of courtesy) invited a guy to come in to my apartment to hang out for ahwile (when all I really wanted him to do was say no thanks and I could go in and go to sleep). It's only been 2 years, but it seems like we've known each other forever!
The last few weeks have kept up pretty busy. We've been working on wedding things here and there. Work has been keeping us busy and we've been trying to spend some time with family during the Easter season.
A couple of weeks ago we had a wedding party party. We were short a bridesmaid and groomsman, but due to illness and the weather in Ohio, we'll forgive them this time. The rest of the wedding party got the chance to meet each other and hang out before the wedding. And, it was our first gathering in the house where weather (in Illinois) wasn't a problem.
The invitations came in last week. We assembled some of them Sunday when we were at my parent's house. We've got to get them stamped, addressed and sealed so they can get in the mail in about a month.
I tried my dress on a couple of weeks ago and it fit like a glove! I may not have to have any alterations except for a little bit on the lenght. I'm not use to having to shorten my clothes!
Our counseling sessions have been going well. We have one more left before Pastor Jan decides if she is going to marry us or not. :)
Saturday we ordered the decorations for the reception and I've been working on the program. I'm sure there are other things I should be doing, but I'm not sure what they are!

Riding the Bull!
The pictures may not be the best, but they should give you a chuckle nonetheless. Friday night we headed to the metropolis of Chatsworth to check out the Fish Fry. Everyone we knew was leaving as we got there so we met them uptown afterwards for a drink. Little did we know that 107.7 The Bull was in town. The first 10 rides on the mechanical bull were free! Trever was the first sucker to give it a whirl. Then they talked me in to it. But the highlight of the night had to be Aunt Phyllis! She didn't exactly "ride" the bull, but she did get her picture taken on it. I hope I'm half that cool when I'm in my 80s!

"City" girl spends weekend on the farm
This past weekend Trever had chore duty while his parents made a trip to Ohio. So, Friday night we headed out to the farm to feed the cows. Saturday morning we got up early and Trever braved the cold to feed the cows again and then we headed up to Cabery to feed the cats. Then it was off to church to help out with the pancake and sausage breakfast.
After a quick trip home to pack another day's worth of clothes, we headed back to the farm, where Trever decided it was time to put me to work. For some reason he thought we should be nice and move some hay so that his dad wouldn't have to do it for a few days. Needless to say, this pig girl didn't move a lot of hay as a kid. That's when Trever decided he was marrying a city girl. I'm telling you, pigs are way better than those scary cows!
Sunday morning we headed to church in Onarga. We let Grandpa Kuipers buy us breakfast and then made our way to Rantoul for a taste testing with our wedding caterer. The twice baked potato caserole was AMAZING and we chose pork loin, roast beef, green beans and madarin orange salad.
Then, the highlight of the weekend, especially for my dad and Trever, was the bridal show at Rantoul High School. We got there just in time for the style show...woohoo. But we went to see the brown tux which we went and ordered afterwards.
Monday I had the day off work, so mom and I went to Champaign to try on her dress for the wedding. We had lunch with Kirk, Kenneth, Kathi and Kara but didn't get much else accomplished. Since then I've been fighting this nasty cold/flu thing. But after two shots and some steroids I'm feeling much better.
Beef Expo is cancelled this weekend so we don't have much going on. Maybe I'll get the house cleaned up after being out of commission for a few days.

Honeymoon!

We've been checking things off of our wedding to-do list left and right. And this week we checked off a big item...the HONEYMOON! We've decided to head to the white sandy beaches of the Riviera Maya.
For those of you who are lacking in the geography training, the Riviera Maya is the area about an hour south of Cancun, Mexico on the Yucatan Peninsula in the Gulf of Mexico.
We will be staying at an all-inclusive resort called the Riu Playacar. While we are there we will have unlimited access to food, local and imported beverages, swim up bars, entertainment, jungles, table tennis, and much more.
And, the best part (for us) is that we registered for our honeymoon. Anyone wanting to help out with our honeymoon expenses can call Travel Discoveries and make a contribution towards our trip. If there is something specific you would like to pay for, you can specifically ask the travel agent to put the money toward that item. For example, if you would like to pay for Trever's ticket to get in a jeep and get a close up tour of the jungle, you could call or e-mail Travel Discoveries, tell them you want to pay for one jungle crossing and give them a credit card number or send a check. This will give us the opportunity to do a few things that I'm too cheap to pay for! They will let us know who made a contribution so we'll know where to send the thank you!
We're very excited for this once in a lifetime trip! Only 4 months and 21 days to go!

Happy Birthday!
Friday night we celebrated Trever and Mom's Birthday! We started out at Dos Reales where they were required to wear some stunning sombrero's before they could eat their fried tortilla with whipped cream on top!
